The Astor is a full circle of seating facing outward, with a ring-shaped back that encloses a planter at the center. Up to eight guests sit around it, at side tables or simply waiting, drinking or chatting.
The outside diameter is 71 in (180 cm) and the planter at the center is 23.5 in (60 cm) across, trimmed in oak. Three concentric contrast welts trace the seat and back, giving the piece its signature look from any side.
Where it works. Hotel lobbies, the center of a large bar or lounge, waiting areas at the front of a restaurant, and any big open floor that needs a focal point.
Construction. Built in segments that bolt together around the planter core; floor fixing recommended. The planter is lined and suitable for potted plants; it is not a plumbed planter.
Options. Diameter, back height, center column (planter, timber column, or a cladding around an existing structural column), upholstery and welt colors.
